What a creative and great way to be charitable!
Vampire-Con is coming to Hollywood in August, and its bringing a drive for charity with it (creatively so!). In partnership with The American Red Cross, Vampire-Con is hosting a blood drive on Sunday, August 16th from 10 am – 4 pm outside The Music Box @ Fonda theatre. A limited edition t-shirt “Blood is the Drug” will be given to the first 40 attendees who donate a pint of blood. We promise all the blood will go to who its supposed too. ;)
AIDS Project Los Angeles will provide a mobile HIV testing unit onsite for the event as well.
Santa Monica based non-profit organization The Virginia Avenue Project (VAP) will conduct a silent auction of exclusive vampire memorabilia including an autographed TRUE BLOOD script signed by creator Alan Ball to benefit their arts mentorship after-school programs. (Bolded by me)

A blood-drive is such an awesome idea! I wish there was a Vampire-con here in Ireland. Just out of curiosity what kind of majority age group usually attend the con?
