I Broke Down.... and I Checked it Out at the Library

Several months removed from being "new" I finally broke down and last night I checked out LKH's latest - Skin Trade . At least I didn't buy it! I have a problem... but admitting it is the first step, right?

On good news, I am on page 98 and no sex so far! No orgies or bestiality! It's mostly an Obsidian Butteryfly reunion (which by the way, was one of the first vampire books I ever read). They are hunting the serial killer vampire in Vegas that got away in I think, Cerulean Sins (I don't quite remember). So we shall see how the book progresses!

A little disappointed she didn't mention saying good bye to Nathaniel or Micah before she left to Vegas, but I guess you can't please everyone.

And summer 2010 Anita Blake will have her own TV show.... which I will probably watch.

Blood Ties Book Giveaway

I am a fan of Tanya Huff's Blood series - I read them towards the beginning of my Books with a Bite Book List. The books are about Vickie Nelson, once cop, now private detective who ends up solving paranormal crimes with the help of a steamy vampire.

Blood Ties also was turned into a TV show on lifetime and now with a renewed interest in all things vampire, and after many pleas, wishes, and requests from fans, Blood Ties was released on DVD June 2nd – which I am very excited about. I can’t wait to watch them – I’ve been waiting!

Funny Friday

OK.... this is a little bad and don't allow children to watch this, but it is Count Dracula, and sadly, I did think it was funny.

For old time's sake, and because it's Friday...

You can't get much better than that. David Boreanaz - my first celeb obsession. If I didn't have any pride or self-esteem at all I would show you a picture of me in middle school posing in front of my wall (yes a whole bedroom wall) dedicated to the shrine that was David Boreanaz. I literally had hundreds of pictures I scoured from any source I could find... ah the good'ol days.

Apparently I have been in the dark this week, because Vampire Wire and guest blogger Amanda Ashby were enjoying a Naked David Boreanaz week and the importance of said nude male. Here is an excerpt from the conclusion of Naked David Boreanaz Week:

#1 On My Wishlist Right Now...

If you haven't heard already from Suburban Vampire or somewhere else, there is going to be an awesome vampire film festival in New Orleans on Halloween. Visit the site - they have links to the films, vampire interviews, store, and more.

From where I live in sunny California I am only a 31 hour drive away... too bad the entertainment company didn't stay where they are located! Bah! I want to go.
